another independence day
the two or three times a year
when we are exhuberant, reflective, analytical for exactly two hours in the morning
we are told
that the nation is young at 60
by the Prime Minister
a host of celebs, industrialists, writers
(and young enthu cutlets) will talk about how proud they are
about the country
how India will become a superpower
and we will conquer the hearts and pockets of people all over the world
and all that crap
my suggestion is that newspapers
and news channels
should take a break
they should just print
the stuff
they carried last year
or repeat interviews
that were telecast
the year before last
