Don't Panic

What is common between Pranab Mukherjee and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

These are the words written on the cover of book and these are the words that he used when asked about the drought situation we are facing this year. He elaborates:

"There is no point in pressing the panic button. This country managed the century's worst drought in 1987. We transported drinking water through railways. We organised fodder for the cattle..."

Of course. We remember that one. But do we need to go through the experience every generation? Is it some kind of a coming of age thing?
